Code 39 is a variable-length, discrete barcode symbology. It can encode uppercase letters A–Z, digits 0–9, and a handful of special characters. It is widely used in logistics, automotive, and military applications.

EAN-13 is a 13-digit barcode standard used worldwide for retail product identification. You supply 12 digits and the generator automatically computes the required check digit.
